EMPAC at RPI

Here is a few photos that I took the last two weeks that I have been at RPI in my home city of Troy, New York. I am working with many old and new friends and coworkers. Some of them that I can name are Eddie Wagner, Ian Phillips, Dave Zackett, Steve Shaw, Mark Michener, the steward, Norm, Todd Kellafant, and Kevin Parker, Scully, and many others. Jeff and Whit for McKinney drilling were great to work for and all the other laborers and carpenters and ironworkers that are giving there all in bitter temperatures

Turner  is providing both preconstruction and construction services for the Experimental Media and Performing Arts Center (EMPAC). EMPAC will capture the traditional history of performing arts while exploring developments in experimental media.

The project includes the construction of a 1,200-seat concert hall, designed to the highest standards for performance and listening, a 400-seat theater with an 80 x 40 foot stage and fly-tower capability, as well as black box studios, artist-in residence studios, production and post-production studios and rehearsal and broadcast facilities.
